I don't know of anything as concerns Turkey bringing Briton
down, but I have access to a paper that does a fairly good job of
identifying Edom and Esau in the latin speaking peoples of this age.
Turkey apparently has only a small portion of the Turkic population, of
which the majority reside in the former Soviet Union. Archie

I know that in World War One there were 150,000 British Empire soldiers
killed trying to take Gallipoli from Turkey. Some people think
Communism was introduced by Esau. The Pharisees in Jesus' day who
opposed him were probably descended from Esau. Also Herod was an
Idumean and persecuted Rachel's children. Haman the Agagite (Esau)
plotted against the Jews of Persia. It is very interesting that the
Roman emperors may have been partly Edomites.

Sounds like you and I know about the same set of "facts," i.e., that Turkey
is Edomite, and descended from Esau. They are also Moslem, although it seems
a more moderate brand than those descended from Ishmael - the Arabs,
so-called Palestinians, etc.
I wonder if it won't be the Moslems who will be the beast power sweeping the
world into turmoil at the end-time, instead of HWA's resurrected Roman
(German) Empire?

Some of these comments were my own synthesis of what I have been reading
and now that I have read more in detail regarding what Craig says about
the Turks I see how the name might have come about. This is how it goes.
Edom had Eliphaz by Adah the daughter of Elon the Hititte. Eliphaz
marries a primary wife also but the Bible does not name her and has a son
Teman and four other brothers among them Omar. After a period of
generations one of the Kings of Temani was called Hushan or as the
Chinese called him Hushang who lived in Persia and became the Sialk I and
II dynasty of Persia also called Chasmah Aly. A descendent of Hushan was
a man named Tur and his brother was Irege. This Tur ruled the Edomites
and gave his name to the designations of Turkestan, Turk or Turanian and
his brother had a son whose name was Manougher surnamed Phirouz or
Perses. This is very close to Judah's son Perez and that may be why some
confusion exists. At any rate Perses gave his name to Persia. (White,
page 59-61)
On page 35 of his book Peoples of the Sea Immanuel Velikovsky talks
about the three lettered consonant PRS as being Persians not Philistines
as some had proposed. Because of this mistaken translation of the
Egyptian hieroglyphs the location historians showed them to be was more
on the western coast of the Levant rather than inland east of the Tigris
River. During the days of Darius and Cyrus, the Persians ruled even the
coast of Lebanon and all of Asia Minor so to make this distinction from
these mistaken translations of the glyphs would have been inane. His book
was written in 1977 but not taken seriously. Then the addition of the
Chinese documentation makes it pretty clear that T'urchueh or the
consonants of TURCh or K and a final H in the oriental languages can only
mean the same peoples with different spellings.
We may be paranoid and see Edomites everywhere even when they do not
exist but I think you can see that the definition is much broader than it
had been for many years. Only a massive DNA testing would tell us for
sure but then that will be an invasion of our privacy and will be used to
identify and segregate the tribes of the earth for dangerous reasons. It
takes on even more importance as we see these very nations in conflict
using terrorism and stealth to get what they want. Over a hundred
soldiers have died since the so-called end of this war in Iraq which is
equal if not greater than when they were in the midst of it. Soothing
oil is constantly applied to the American and British citizen's minds to
placate them as they become more nervous and distraught from more body
bags each day. Our governments keep telling us that they are winning but
if God does not want a decisive victory there will not be one no matter
what they are telling us. Remember I told you that it was like a ball
bat hitting a bee hive of hornets. We do live in interesting if not
