To get rid of constipation the cave at the end of the human laboratory needs to be kept empty by mining. Some nurses call it "coal mining".

For discussion purposes, food is that which goes into the mouth until it is expelled from the undercarriage. The food has gone through the human laboratory. Constipation is normally when one gets a blockage just before the undercarriage.


Fortunately for us the Great Creator of this vast universe has created in us a healing mechanism that when we feel it will remain there forever, the healing mechanism is such that within 24 hours, water is extracted from the mass and the intestine gives out a natural lubricant such that the mass is reduced in diameter and it almost disappears.


When one is trying to pass a “brick” as my mother used to say or one is “still thinking” about it after about 3 days later then one should consult with a doctor and, as a bare minimum go on a 24 fast.


In my case I had a tummy bug for about two summers that started in the spring and then went. Normally I was really throwing down in my tummy virtually anything I liked, without any problem. It was only when I had a burst ulster in my duodenum that I was aware that there may have been something wrong.


Then I was made a room officer for a laboratory with 12 fumes cupboards which I though roughly enjoyed UNTIL I found out that the management were NOT really interested in what actually went on in a lab that I began to get FULL feelings in my tummy and little discomforts which I killed off by sending down anadin extra pain killers which of course worked. (This is paracetamal).


Then one day I realised I was not going for about 7 days at a time and with difficulty and finally I had a deep breathing problem one morning on my push bike and then the same again about 3 hours later. I get home and was checked over by a local doctor for about two hours. Put on Iron tablets. For three weeks I was put on “fibro gel” then felt vomitty for two days.


On the second morning of vomity sensations My wife sent me to hospital and while laying waiting to be check by a doctor had a heart attack. I was sent to St Thomas's hospital and had double bypasses. I lived to tell the tail and set about finding out what was wrong.


I then spent months going through various things like try this and try that without much of a break through and then sue told me about the Hay Diet which is basically seperating out Protein and starch. This then had the disired effect of removing bloatedness. The tummy bug persisted and having been checked by another younger doctor I was told yes you have a minor blockage in your intestine. Surprise surprise.So now for Constipation;why?.

From the picture in the above diagram one thing became obviouse to me was that if one lay's on one's left side, then the mass in the transverse colon is not only pulled down to the left (the final exit) by the muscle action of the colon, but gravity will also help to do the job as well. One should be able to feel the mass moving. If the transverse colon is full then one will experiance shallow breathing.This indicates more fruit is required in the diet.

The difficulty with any diet is to know what is good for you and the amount. For example when I become sick I have to start off with water and then see if that stays down. Then I go to milk a couple of mouthfuls and see if that stays down and then onto a mouthful of gluten free bread.

Exercises for constipation are:

Walking

Laying on ones left side and then on the right.

Slow deep breathing.

Yoga,slow stooping down and getting slowly back up again.

Massage for movement. Try this gentle massage to help encourage movement in the bowel.Lie down on your back and place the fingers of one hand flat on the lower abdomen- about 1.5 inches (3cm) up on the left-hand side.Place your other hand on top and, applying a little pressure, start making small circular movements( you may wish to lightly oil your hands to encourage a snoother motion). Gradually work your way up until you are level with the navel.Repeat the movements as you go across the abdomen and then down the right side.Once you completed the route, make large slow sweeping movements along the path just covered, going in the reverse order.Repeat the whole porcedure severa times-the massage shoul help lossen the bowels.

Yoga.Carefully standing on ones head for a few minutes will help the right hand intestine contentes move up and around.

Recently I asked a nurse in a hospital set up how does one overcome constipation and the answere was to come off all pain killers.

Another person has said take 4-5 licorice allsort Now that I am about 95% free and the licorice is being experimented with.I have been pain free for three months.
