Close to death.

It was in May 2004 that I began to feel very ill and cough up blood. I was rushed to hospital about 1 pm in the morning and the surgeon started to operate on me.

Three months later when I went back for a check up. The surgeon looked at me and said " I remember you Mr Cain. You were not just bleeding, the blood was GUSHING out of you". He then went on to say "It was the one up there (pointing upwards) that was looking after you".

So I said to him, "What do you mean by that?".

"Well, when I came across you, the blood was coming out of you so fast that you had to be put through a number of procedures to overcome the problem. If one of the procedures had had a hiccup, then you would not be talking about it today. As it is, all the routines went very smoothly. So the one upstairs MUST have been looking after you".

Now I asked the surgeon, "What caused the problem?" and the answer that came back was that "I do not know it is a mystery"

I Alex, just know that when I came to the end of my working career, my health plummeted. After the surgery I asked a nurse how does one stop constipation? and the answer was to "come off all pain killers". This I did and have not had any stomack pain for the last two years.

Please note, because of the drop in health and reduction in income; I am now retired, the Countdown magazine had to stop, even though I am producing articles on the website through our local library.
