New readers should request last months Countdown. This showed Jeremiah as
having received a vision of what had happened in the pre Adamic period and what
mankind was capable of doing under the influence of Satan. Jeremiah 4:22 last
part: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
Because Israel --All of the tribes at that time still did evil, God was going
to send The King of Assyria against them to take them into captivity again to
punish them for rebellion.
In his book, The United States and Britain in Prophecy, Copyright 1967 Mr
Herbert Armstrong basically alluded to the idea that Germany was Modern day
Assyria. There was no substantial evidence to back up the claim, as was
commented on in the Ambassador Report. Mr A most probably got the idea from an
earlier British Israel book; we have one copyright 1932.
LANGUAGE
To take a parallel instance from the past: read a page of Hebrew, and then a
column of Assyrian inscriptions ; and you will find numbers of words common to
the two, but in almost every sentence the position of the verb in Hebrew is the
position it holds in English; while in the Assyrian it holds the same position
as the German. Possibly the dominant Germans, who were so long-associated with
the Anglo-Saxons were the Assyrian conquerors of Israel. At any rate, similarity
in speech is declared, by leading authorities in philology, to be an indication
of social contact only. Some go so far as to say that language is never any test
of race.
The Venerable Bede, and the erudite linguist Latham, independently assert
that the continental English left none of their kith and kin behind them when
they migrated from the German coast lands into Britain. The Saxons of the
so-called Saxony of to-day are a totally different people.
The removal of the British element from Germany is evidenced by the political
developments of the latter country. The deposed Kaiser was the head of a system
of military rule, on account of which many of the subjects of his empire become
naturalized across the seas. George V governs a people whose watchword is
Liberty-a People chosen, like the chosen People of old, to bless the world. What
nation fills up the empty places of the earth with its colonies but Britain ?
Whose language is going on, with rapid strides, to become the language of the
world, if not the British ?
That world-wide language-different as it is, in its final outcome, from the
language of the Jews, inasmuch as in the course of Ages it has incorporated
words from many tongues, and made them all its own-is Hebrew in many of its
roots and in much of its arrangement.
Old Anglo-Saxon words, for instance (see Appendix B of Dr. Aldersmith's
Fulness of the Nations), are found side by side with Hebrew words in the early
Gothic version of the New Testament, made by Bishop Ulfila, in A.D. 360.

peoples (Isaiah 10:5-8).
Comment: ASSYRIA AND GERMANY MOST PEOPLES TODAY ARE A MIXTURE OF DIFFERING
ELEMENTS OF DIFFERENT ORIGINS. AT different times different aspects of the whole
come to the fore yet somehow or other there is a subconscious coordination
between all. Despite a people's mixed origins one or other of the various
national components within a given country usually dominates the others and
determines the long-range attitude and goals.
We consider Germany to be descended from Gomer and dominated by
Edom. Germany also contains Canaanites and is representative of
ASSYRIA. These several identifications are not contradictory but rather
compliment each other. Even in Biblical times a similar
situation prevailed.
In Prophecy Assyria seems to conform most
probably to West-Central Europe and especially
to Germany.
According to legends several west German cities were founded
by Assyrian monarchs.
Historically the Romans settled "Syrian" soldiers and
"Syrian" merchants (of Assyrian origin?) in German cities.
The Bavarians had a tradition of originating in An-nenia and
according to some definitions " Armenia" could encompass lands settled by
Assyrians.
For what it is worth (and it may not be worth much) many
Bavarians and Austrians seem to be of a similar physical type to that
representative of the ancient Assyrian's. Also the facial features of many
Germans (both the fair and dark kind) are often similar to
those of the ancient Assyrians and Hittites.
The Arabs had a tradition that the ancestors of the Germans had been amongst

Germans were known within the former Assyrian sphere.
Craig White of Sydney, Australia and other researchers have identified
Germany with Assyria and much of their reasoning is well-founded and convincing.
Like the Assyrians, the Germans have a national geopolitical
tendency to want to exterminate, remove, or exchange the populations of other
countries. The Nazis in many respects were merely continuing a centuries-old
German national tradition.
Numerous families and clans of Israelite-descent also settled at some
time or other in Germany. The impression, based upon historical studies
and national characteristics is that most of them left.
Amongst all of the Israelite-descended peoples there exist those who are
sympathetic to the Germans and sometimes identify with them.
LIKEWISE, the Prophets speak of those in ancient Israel who were pro-Assyrian.
There is lack-of-ease and a hostility in Germany
towards the Anglo-Saxons. It would paycertain
national leaders to be very careful.
Assyria will think to destroy Jerusalem as he did Samaria.
A remnant of Jacob will return unto the mighty
God.
THE MESSIAH.
(Isaiah 11) A descendant of Jesse (i.e. of the House of David son of Jesse)
will arise with supernatural and prophetic powers. He will do good and punish
evildoers. There will be a change of nature and peace. All of the earth will be
filled with knowledge of the LORD.
The gentiles will come to the Messiah.
THE RETURN OF THE LOST ISRAELITES.
In That Day God will gather the remnant of His People who
remain from Assyria, andfrom Mitsrayim (Egypt), and
from Patros, and from CUSH, and from Elami, and from Shinar, and from
Hamath, and from The Isles of the Sea (Isaiah 11:11).
Also known from Egypt. The Scandinavian god , Odin, has been
described as a northernversion of the Egyptian idol,
Osiris.
IMITATED FOREIGNERS ARE ENEMIES.
Ezekiel says that the Israelites were delivered into foreigners' hands
because they hankered after foreign idols and foreign customs, and because of
this , the foreigners killed many of them:
Ezekiel 23;9: "Wherefore, I have delivered her into the hands of her lovers,
into the hands of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
Ezekiel 23; 10: "...they took her sons and daughters and slew her with the
sword...
THE ASSYRIANS WERE GERMANS!!
The Assyrians In West Germany and Bavaria.
The ancient Assyrians aspired to world dominion. Simo Parpola ("letters From
Assyrian and Babylonian Scholars. State Archives of Assyria", vol. x, p. xv:)
explains that the Assyrians had a kind of semi-monotheistic outlook. The
Assyrians believed in an "underlying unity of the cosmic powers operative in the
universes,'gods', conceived as aspects of an all encompassing transcendental
god, Assur. By implication, this symbolism called for the political unity of the
entire world under the hegemony of Assyria". The Assyrians were incredibly cruel
and sadistic and glorified in their nefarious actions. They boastingly describe
how they massacred whole cities and tortured and dehumanised the inhabitants
before killing them.
Arab writers repeated a tradition that the founder of the Assyrian capital,
Nineveh, was Germanika (Gemol). This notion in effect links the Germans with the
Assyrians.
Craig White ("Who Are The Germans? Their Ancient Roots And Future Might",
Sydney, Australia, 1992) identified the Germans with Assyria. He describes
(p.55) how according to legend, the city of Trier (in the Palatinate of West
Germany, near Luxembourg) was founded by Trebeta son of King Ninus "with a great
multitude of Assyrians" in the time of Semiramus. There was a period when the
Romans established or expanded cities in West Germany and settled within them
Romanised colonists many of whom originally
came from Syria meaning Assyria, Edom, or Aram, or contingents
from all of them. In Germany the notion existed that the
Bavarians came from Armenia (Borchardt), which adjoined
Assyria. The Bavarian physical type is similar to that of the ancient Assyrians.
The Hittite Allies Of Assyria In Germany.
Linked with the Assyrians were the Hittites who also migrated to Germany. The
people of Dessau in Eastern Germany believed that they came
from Lake Ascenius in Bithynia a Hittite area in Anatolia. In
this Anatolian region were the cities of Prusias and Prusa and a connection with
German Prussia is suggested (White p.83).
"Even Emperor Wilhelm-ii of Germany apparently fervently believed and
accepted the Hittite origins of the Gennans" (White p.86 quoting from J. Lehman
1977, "The Hittites").
German Origins According To Jewish Sources.
The Germans are united by a common language, traditions, and a national
consciousness. The German tongue appears to have originally been native to part
of South Germany and from there it passed to, or was forcibly
imposed upon, the North. Paradoxically there were some regions of southern
Germany that only received the German language due to Catholic missionary
activity in the Counter Reforrnation, well after ca. 1600 c.
e.! The Talmud and Midrash linked the Germans with Gomer (Genesis Rabah) and/or
(along with Rome) with Edom (Megilla 6).
The Jewish Commentator, Then Ezra (1080-1164) believed that the Germans were
descended from Canaanites and that in the Biblical Book of Obadiah (1;20) ,
Germany is the "Canaan" referred to. In Scripture, the Hittites were considered
a Canaanite people (Genesis 10;15, 15;20). All of these identifications are
probably correct to some extent.
The Germans like most peoples are in fact a mixture of races. From time to
tiine one or other of the various composite elements rises to the fore and so,
in Prophecy, the Germans may be identified with any of the various groups of
which they are composed. The Patriarch Joseph father of Ephraim and Menasseh, in
one source (Genesis Raba 86;3) is also described as a "Germani" although here
the description may relate to physical appearance.
The Anglo-Saxons, Vandals, West Franks, Goths, and company did pass through
Germany and were influenced greatly by German language and culture but did not
overduly intermix, even though they are sometimes mistakenly classified as
"Germanic" peoples..Portions of the Lost Ten-Tribed Israelites may have settled
in parts of Germany but most of these appear to have since migrated to North
America and elsewhere. The migrants were recognised as being different from the
Germans they left behind. (This matter is summarised by Yair Davidy in "The
Tribes" p.430 and in more detail elsewhere.),

Konrad Heiden, author of A HISTORY of National Socialism, write:
Homosexuality was widespread in the secret murderer' army and its devotees
denied that it was a perversion. They were proud, regarding themselves as
'different from the others,' meaning better. They boasted about their
superiority; Roehm exclaimed that the misfortune of the age was domination by
women; he praised the epochs that had been dominated by figures like Alexander
the Great, Caesar Charles XII of Sweden, Prince Eugene of Savoy and Frederick
the Great, five great warriors and five homosexuals.
Gay Naziism Today
It should not be surprising, given that some homosexual activists have
employed undemocratic tactics that trample on others' freedoms-disrupting church
services, etc.-that there are modern-day examples of "gay"Naxiism, Among them:
A founder of an ACT UP chapter reveals in 1992 that he used Adolf Hitler's
infamous book Mein Kampf as a training manual for budding gay activists. In a
startling mea culpa in the Washington Blade, Eric Pollard, found of ACT UP/D.C.,
wrote: "I have helped crate a truly fascist organization that I now believe to
be among the greatest threats to our freedom and the healing of our people. " He
said he taught fellow activist " "Subversive tactics drawn largely from the
voluminous'Mein Kampf,' which some of us studied as a working model"
A recent article in July 1993 Issue of San Francisco gay newspaper Bay Area
REPORTER (BAR) quoted a defector from neo-Nazi enclaves in Idaho testifying to
the prevalence of homosexuals among the skinhead ranks, according to CFV
[Colorado for Family values] Report. In the July 1. 1993 BAR article,
headlined," Are there gay Nazis also in San
Francisco?, the ex neo Nazis also pointed to the existence of gays in fascist
group Aryan Nation.
Researcher Judith Reisman who is completing an exhaustive study of
advertisements in the gay magazine The Advocate, has found that about 5 percent
of the ads "glamorise specifically Nazi features and costumes "- such as jack
boots and fascist caps-while many ads promote a "tough guy" image in line with
"fascist culture" Reisman discovered one 1974 Advocate personal ad
headlined,"NAZI ANYONE?"

" Let your woman keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto
them to speak;
but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if
they will learn any thing, let then ask their husbands at home: for it is a
shame for women to speak in the church" (vs. 34-35, KJV).
" Let the women of you in the churches be silent, not for it is allowed to
them to speak but let them be subject, as also the law says. if But anything to
learn they desire, at home their own husbands let them question; a shame for it
is for women in a church to speak" (vs. 34-35, quoted from the Greek Interlinear
Bible).
Since we only have ONE side of the story here, we do not know EXACTLY what
the problem with the woman was. Whether the " speaking " Paul was referring to
was preaching or teaching or just being a vocal disruption is not clear. What is
clear is that these women at Corinth were not being orderly as specified in the
teaching of the law [the Old Testament]. Here again Paul is stressing orderly
conduct in the formal worship service.
MANY cannot abide what Paul said to the women, at Corinth, because of a wrong
concept of God's government (Gal. 3:28). Paul's statement has
NOTHING to do with male chauvinism, as some
think. However, it does have to do with the order of things as
they pertain to Church government and the particular function of individuals
within it.
Note: A side issue to this subject of speaking in unknown languages is the
one of women and the leadership responsibility within the Church. It should be
noted that Jesus Christ, the God of Israel, chose only men to the Levitical
priesthood, and only men to the apostleship. And, the apostles ordained only men
to the leadership. The only instances in which this principle of male leadership
was violated, occurred when the males of Israel shirked their leadership
responsibility. This definitely was not the case at Corinth, as men were in the
positions of leadership.
Notice Paul commands the women to keep silent. This is not a request, it is a
command backed up by god's word. If the foregoing chapters 12 thru 14 are
speaking of the same manifestation of the Spirit as noted in the book of Acts,
we have a major problem with what Paul has just said. This is especially true
when we consider that he said in verse 5 that it would be good if they all could
speak in foreign languages.
Because we know that the scriptures do not contradict each
other and all scripture is for our learning, we can only conclude that Paul was
not addressing the same manifestation of the Spirit as the one manifestation of
the Spirit as the one mentioned in Acts. We can also conclude that the practices
of the modern tongues or charismatic movement is not based on sound biblical
principles.

hot issues of modern times and we will give readers new light which has been
shed on the subject recently, shortly.)
PAUL TELLS US THE WILL OF GOD:
"What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? If any
man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the
things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be
ignorant, let him be ignorant" (vs 36-38, KJV)
"You disagree? And do you think that the knowledge of God's will begins and
ends with you Corinthians? Well, you are mistaken! You who claim to have the
gift of prophecy or any other special ability from the Holy Spirit should be
first to realize what I am realize what I am saying is a commandment from the
Lord himself. But if everyone still disagrees.. well, we will leave him in his
ignorance" (vs 36-38, Living Bible).
BE ORDERLY:
"Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with
languages. Let all things be done decently and in order" (verses 39-40, KJV).
"So my fellow believers, long to be prophets so that you can preach God's
message plainly; and never say it is wrong to 'speak in tongues' (languages);
however be sure that thing is done properly in a good and orderly way" (vs.
39-40, Living Bible).
We find very little order among those of the charismatic persuasion. In fact
we find just the opposite order-we find confusion on the highest order, such as:
a. Both men and women speaking out spontaneously in formal services (a
practice
condemned by Paul in 1 Cor 14:27-29, 34, 40)
b. No formal request for an interpreter prior to the event (a practice
condemned by Paul in
1 Cor 14:28).
c. The repeating of meaningless sounds over and over (vain repetition
condemned by Jesus in Matt. 6:70)
d. People falling on their backs, leaping, jumping,
screaming, shouting, lapsing into unconsciousness, unbridled
and uncontrolled emotionalism. All these things are the opposite of
order as commanded by scripture.
8. THE WORD "UNKNOWN"
Most Bible scholars will agree that the word "unknown" is an added word and
is not in the original text of chapters 12 through 14. Some might say that even
though it is not in the original text, the Greek language infers that the
language discussed was unknown. A very short study into the Greek language
easily disproves such a theory.
It is interesting to note that even though the word "unknown" is recognised
as being out of place in these scriptures by scholars, almost all who analyse
this subject try to incorporate it into their explanations of what these
difficult scriptures mean. It would seem that since the word is clearly a
misrepresentation of the facts, it should be treated as such and should not be
considered when explaining the intent of the verses -excepting to say the word
has no value to this topic.
CORINTHIAN WORSHIP SERVICE
The noted scholar J. B. Lightfoot believed that the language spoken of in
chapters 12 through 14 was the ancient Hebrew tongue and gives some historical
facts that are difficult to challenge. Whether his deductions from these facts
are correct can be questioned. However, his understanding of History is valid as
substantiated by historical documentation.
Notice the points he brings out in reference to the worship service of the
Jewish synagogues of the day, and how this could have influenced the Corinthian
Church: a. Public prayers in the synagogue were made in the ancient Hebrew
tongue, with the exception of one or two being made in Chaldee. [Remember, only
a very few understood Hebrew.]
b. Those who taught or preached spoke only Hebrew, which was repeated to the
worshippers by an interpreter.
c. It was a disgrace for a woman to speak in the synagogue or to usurp any
part of the
ministerial office.
d. Services were conducted in an orderly and worshipful manner.
Because many of the Christians at Corinth were Jewish converts along with a
few former priests of the synagogue, Lightfoot felt that the Corinthians more
than likely patterned their worship services after the synagogue
services. If Lightfoot is correct in his deduction, then chapters 13
through 14 could easily be understood from this point of view, and the language
mystery solved easily (condensed from Hebrew and Talmudical Exercitations upon 1
Epist. Corinth, by Robert Grandell, pp 256-269,,vol 4, 1859).
9. FALSE CHRISTS, DOCTRINES & SPIRITS
When one makes an in-depth study into the charismatic movement, it is found
that their activities are a far cry from the behaviour patterns
of the early Christians. The unintelligible mutterings and emotional displays of
those indulging in speaking in unknown languages are not the Acts of an orderly
spirit.
Many adherents of the new charismatic pentecostalism claim speaking in
unintelligible languages is the prophetic evidence of a great spiritual
awakening just prior to the end of the age and the return of Jesus Christ.
However such a claim cannot be supported by scripture. In fact, the scriptures
say just the opposite is true.
"Behold the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the
land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst of water, but of the hearing of the
words of the Lord: and they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north
even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and
shall not find it" (Amos 8:11-12).
Just Prior to the end of the age, the apostle Paul warned there would be a
departure from the faith (2 These.2:11; 2 Tim 3:13). This widespread forsaking
of truth will entail the accepting of many false and corrupt doctrines by those
who will leave the faith once delivered to the saints.
It is interesting to note that the charismatic movement is becoming a
unifying factor between many of the world's professing Christian and
non-Christian religions as well as the occult and humanistic movements. However,
it does not fit within the guidelines Jesus gave to His Church. Perhaps this
resurgence of the charismatic movement will be the unifying force which brings
about the "super church" spoken of in the book of Revelation. Only time will
tell.
