The author of this article has however been cured of a disease. When I was born I started to lose weight and disappear off the face of the earth, so my mother took me to something like 12 different doctors who all said there was nothing wrong with me; the 13th doctor however said "yes, he has Coeliac disease". I was then sent to the world famous Great Ormond Street Hospital in London for children with unusual diseases.
My mother then had to leave me in the hospital for about three months and spent the next 6 months going back and forward to London from Bentley a round journey of about 100 miles. No mean task. I was placed on dried bananas ( this was the "cure" at the time) that had to be especially flown in from India and at the time of 6 months was allowed to come home. I was kept on lots of IRON and permitted to sleep whenever I wanted and she was told I would gradually grow out of it in about 6 years; Because I had been away from my own mum for such a long time I had to get to know a "stranger" again.
While in the "Other Church" some thirty years later I suffered for a period of 18 months of "bowel trouble" in which I went down to a skeleton of 7 1/4 stone; not a pretty site. My joints temporarily seized up with lack of Calcium and quite frankly I thought I was going to meet my maker. My doctor (Matt 9:12; Mark 2:17; Luke 5:31; go to your physician) at the time asked me if he had tried me with these little red pills of which I said that he had tried me with so many different pills that I didn't know which pill I tried or did not tried!! He then said that he was going to send me to the Coeliac specialist at Frimley Park Hospital. The answer came back that I would see the specialist in 9 months time. Well because I had now become like a walking skeleton I was asked by my brother in law to ask the Doctor what would be the cost of having a check up privately. The answer came back £45 and it could be done in 7 Days time. MONEY TALKS as the saying goes. I had the check up, and finally asked for an anointing cloth and got anointed.
24 hours later I was finally diagnosed as being Coeliac again and put on a Gluten Free diet. My body having been almost starved to death reacted positively to the new diet, in fact my stomach roared with the new life coming into it. In 2 months I then put on 3 1/2 stone and became the ideal case for Hospital House students to look at. Exodus 15:26 last part: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
So, first and foremost if anyone came to the CHURCH OF GOD for healing purposes we would say to them `have you been to see your local doctor ?' This is because doctors normally have the ways and means of analysing what the problem is and if it is a common cold as it is well known, anointing or no anointing the problem lasts about 7 days and away it goes. This is because GOD has in his great wisdom and mercy `built in' a natural healing mechanism in the body which when we become unwell is `fired'. We then naturally lay down for a while and let the -natural healing mechanism in the body- come into play. At this time we normally dwell on the fact that we could have been "overdoing it a bit" and decide to slow down.
A person wanting to go GOD's way and head towards everlasting life must of necessity want to know what God has to say about the foods that are good for us and those that are not, even as fleshly beings (Lev 11:1-). So they are guided to read the early chapters that God gave to ancient Israel. So that if they ate the wrong foods accidentally and repented of it they could be anointed and ask God to intervene and heal them so that they would carry on learning GODS way.
What goes with this concept of anointing, or praying over, or the laying on of hands, is the question of BELIEF. Because all things are possible to him that believe. Mark 9:23
So as far as these girls were concerned they grew up believing they were ugly. In a similar vein there are people who believe in UFO's (unidentified flying objects). We don't but that does not mean they do not exist. We just have not to date seen them. But a person who does believe in UFO's it does not matter how much one explains that they `don't ' exist they will simply go on believing in them.
Some people `see' ghosts or spirit beings; again we haven't, but this does not mean they don't exist it is just that we haven't seen them and as far as we are concerned they don't exist. On the other hand there are scientists that we know that DO believe in these things and that they believe (the spirit beings) haunt or roam in particular building.
It is all a question of a belief pattern. In Christ's day the people that believed that Christ could heal them were in fact healed on the other hand some simply could not be healed as Christ said because of their unbelief. In other words Christ being GOD would not heal them against their un belief--he did not force being healed upon them. He could have healed them being the God in the Flesh but they had to make up their own mind to be healed. On the other hand there were people who knew that he was God academically but did not have the faith to be healed so they asked Christ to help their un belief.
So to be healed requires a belief pattern that God exists and that he can and has and will heal.
Now the subconscious
There is a brain which does function all the time but is most easily
influenced when the conscious mind or thinking mind is almost absent. This is
the subconscious mind. Most people are aware that once they are asleep they are
to most aspects to the world. They go to sleep and before they know what has
happened they are awake with whatever sensations they wake up to, be it the
bright sun or singing birds or the milkman delivering milk or a pain in the
stomach, one way or another they are awake and no matter what happens to them
they will not go back to sleep again. That's it. Finito. Up and back to work.
Another new day has begun.
We are glad to say that while you were asleep to the world, your subconscious
mind or "the other mind" or your "automatic mind" just smoothly carried on just
as GOD intended it and you did not know a thing that was happening. Just to give
you an example of your subconscious mind in operation. While you were asleep,
most people are aware that they keep on BREATHING wowwee, so we do. Another
thing is that the heart keeps on PUMPING, so it does. Quietly and smoothly the
digestion tubes in the system keeps on moving and DIGESTING our food. Quietly
and calmly all our carbonic acid in our muscles is slowly removed and fresh
blood is recirculated and we wake up refreshed. And we didn't even know what was
going on.
It is our subconscious mind that comes into play when we have a cold virus
and when we are asleep removes the alien substance. Sometimes of course it
requires a lot of energy and we don't sleep as all our energy is used up
fighting the BUG.
Other things that lodge in our subconscious that hold us back are thoughts
that permanently lurk there like, "I am useless, I am ugly, I am stupid , I AM
dumb. I ain't no good, I am useless, I cant make anyone happy, I will never be a
success, God is unfair, I will never pass this exam. Everybody is LOOKING at
me."
Conversely if one is brought up to believe that one is clever, well liked,
attractive then one automatically goes through life with confidence.
The mechanics of the subconscious mind is such that we can be thinking too
slow or not slow enough. We can be in perpetual flight, going as fast as
possible away from imaginary fears. Or we can have in our mind a false belief
like our loved one is burning in a hell fire and that we have no power to get
them out.
In the last fifty years, it has however been found out that the Automatic
mind can be controlled or altered. Leslie Kenton in her book "The Joy Of Beauty"
is one journalist that has shown how this alteration can take place. Now this is
where YOU begin to take control of your own body rather than being subject to
the MIND CONTROL of the thoughts of other people. First we must recognise that
there is a connecting link between our conscious mind and our automatic mind.
That connecting link which YOU control is the half sleep state between being
awake and asleep. This is why it is not a good thing for us to allow someone
else to hypnotise us simply because they then control us --NOT A GOOD THING.
Once you recognise this half awake state then you can regularly put yourself
into it and be in control of your OTHER MIND. The half awake state is very
similar to being on a train where you are waiting for all the stops to come and
go and get to your destination. Once you recognise the half state of mind then
USE IT. Another example is when we are about to go to sleep and we are not quite
there but we are aware that we are drifting into the dream world of sleep. IT IS
A VERY PLEASANT STATE OF MIND. It is also a meditative state of mind.
Enough said. In this link state of mind say to yourself `I control my own
thoughts'-- that's it, that all you have to say, but say it TEN times over to
yourself in your own mind. Remember YOU are in control now NO ONE ELSE is. You
don't believe the process works, well check it out in Leslie Kenton's book THE
JOY OF BEAUTY under self creation page 10 Arrow Books Limited 62-65 Chandos
Place, London WC2N 4NW UK; or in a local library or book shop near you.
Some people will say at this point `How do I know when I am thinking?' well
if you don't know then it can be explained by giving an example. One of our sons
came to us a few years ago and asked "How is it possible to be TALKING without
SAYING anything?" Well the answer was quite simply that the boy was talking in
his mind without any sound coming out of his mouth or that he was THINKING, this
was quite a revelation to him.
So you say `I control my own thoughts' ten times in your own mind and each
time you say count from one finger to the next. Most people have ten fingers.
Maybe GOD is telling us something. Don't forget HE gave us TEN commandments.
Most people who use the PEG (hanging their mental images onto a familiar
picture) system of memory will be familiar with this system of thought control but may not be aware they can use it to control their OTHER MIND. Remember that to control the other mind we must use the system
in the half sleep state. It could be that you have zipped through the ten
statements and nothing has happened. You may not have thought much has happened
but it has. Then leave the subject of thought control alone for 24 hours. Next
day do exactly the same again remember YOU control the time you DO it NOBODY
ELSE. Get into the half sleepy state press one finger and say `I control my own
thoughts' stop. Press the second finger and say `I control my own thoughts'
stop. Press the third and so on.
During the day while you are fully alert you might realise that you are going
through your "MIND control thoughts" a bit fast. OK; when your next session is
to begin, SLOW down your set pattern of thoughts. Instead of taking the pace,
one "thought stream" at a time in one second, then talk to yourself saying the
same thought pattern over very slowly in five seconds. Now it could take up to
three months to recognise that it is possible to control the OTHER MIND and
hence your own make up or personality or body which then brings us to the next
THOUGHT.
One personal example of mind over matter which was performed with success was
associated with headache control. A few years ago I went to the doctor and said
that I had a very bad headache that the normal medicine would not remove. Now my
looks do not pity me and he asked me if I was really serious i.e. did I have a
headache now? I said "yes, I could hardly walk" here. He gave me three tests.
The first was to ask me to move my head sideways which I did and did I have a
pain increase? No. The second was to ask me to move my head backward and forward
nodding fashion which I performed, did I have any increase of pain? No. The last
test was that he placed both of his hands at the back of my neck and pulled the
neck muscles apart a bit to which I screamed. So I was suffering from tense neck
muscles. Well he gave me a little red pill which relieved me of the pain
immediately and then suggested that I take up Yoga as a form of relaxation,
which he was doing.
I now recognise when my headaches are associated with neck muscle pressure or
over tension and recently I used the mind control (mind over matter) technique
to see if it would work on the neck muscle which were growing tight with
pressure of work. This was a Sunday morning. So while in bed, in the sleepy
state to which now I control at will. I said `my neck muscles are relaxed and
peaceful'. This was repeated the "ten times slowly, routine". There was NO
immediate reaction but while out shopping about an hour later I happened to be
thinking about it and a flood of peace and relaxation swept over my neck to the
extent that my neck felt very floppy for a while. The thought control exercise
was working. There are many other examples that can be used like setting your
`other mind' through thought control, to perform the task of answering difficult
questions, these are explained in the book.
Christ's example of gradually teaching us to perform thought control is with
adultery. In the ten commandments he says don't commit adultery which is of
course a physical act. He then advances this statement to be replace by no
`thought' of it to enter the mind Matthew 5:28,29. The thought control exercise
which should be in the mind is something like ` I don't commit adultery' i.e.
your mind is then controlling your body. But YOU as the individual have to set
the pattern, no one else can do this for you.
How does it work?
Quite obviously no one knows the exact way mind over matter works but we do
have an inkling. It is based on the electromagnetic principle. All matter, this
includes the parts of the atom i.e. the electron and proton; has an
electromagnetic field around them. This is demonstrated by the schoolboy
experiment of placing a KNOWN magnet under a piece of paper and sprinkling the
paper with iron fillings. By shaking the paper the iron fillings take up the
shape of the magnetic field around the bar magnet; now we as individuals do not
as yet have the sensing power to see these magnetic lines but the experiment
demonstrates they are there.
To a greater or lesser degree ALL things have a magnetic field. It is also
known that if a piece of copper wire is MOVED in the field of a magnet the
electrons move in one direction and so we have an electric current. If the wire
is held still and the magnet moved as in a dynamo the same thing happens, an
electric current. Now this is where life becomes interesting. If the wire is
stuck upright as in an aerial the electron shoot to one end of the wire and then
to the other end; if this happens rapidly the electromagnetic field of each
electron affects the surrounding atom of the wire away from the wire or in other
words the surrounding air is energised and one of the greatest phenomena of all
time is that if the aerial is placed in a so called vacuum energy waves are
still given off so there is no such things as a complete vacuum.
What has all this got to do with us as individuals? Well, when we THINK in
our conscious mind, that thinking process IS electromagnetic; we are the dynamo
we give off electromagnetic waves. You want proof of this? Go back and read the
article "Why Sex?" if a room is filled with men and an attractive girl moves
into the scene; if anyone is NOT affected by the "electricity" that is
generated, then I am sorry my friend go and see a psychologist.
The electromagnetic field principle has recently been used in the bone field.
Recently it has been shown that under the STRICTLY CONTROLLED conditions of a
hospital, the length of a leg bone was made longer to accommodate the length of
the other. The was done by breaking the bone in the first place and then pulling
the break apart a few millimetres by using an adjustable frame it was shown that
the calcium of the bone started to grow to accommodate the break. As it grew,
the framework was then pulled apart again by a few more millimetres and once
again the bone grew to fill the gap. How did it work? well the entire body has
its own electromagnetic pattern extending from the brain. In the case of the
break in the leg, the two parts were like the north and south of a magnet and
the calcium atoms simply travelled along the lines of influence and gradually
built up the gap.
This is why that a person that has been born with the defect of having no
limbs whatsoever still has the electromagnetic pattern in their head so when
Christ returns and the person has tried to live their life as Christ would want
them HE, CHRIST WILL HAVE NO DIFFICULTY IN HEALING THEM.
So what you THINK affects your other mind and hence your overall health? BUT
Exodus 15:26 points out that If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the
lord thy God and wilt do that which is right in his sight and wilt give ear to
his commandments and keep all these statues, I will put none of these diseases
upon thee which I have brought upon the Egyptians for I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH
THEE.
As pointed out before when £45 was paid to the doctor, 9 months of misery was
reduced to 7 days. So if we have wealth or money then that can make life easier.
It is the House of Israel that has been blessed with great wealth. The
question that comes to mind is how do we acquire some of that great wealth? It
was while we were thinking along wealth lines that we quickly realised one
needed good health to use it. Wealth is normally in the form that comes from the
ground either in the form of gold or coal or wheat that grows from the ground
and is consumed, or oil that is consumed; then people become wealthy from
transactions that accrue from taking that wealth from one place to the other for
people to use. For the average individuals it means getting a job in those area
where such transactions take place and acquire their wealth by long hours of
hard work.
Wealth can also be acquired by inheritance i.e. great uncle Joe passed down a
few millions and that's how some people become wealthy. Still others become
wealthy by the acquisition of land or cattle. In Australia many men became
fairly wealthy by spending six months at a time at the "ore sites" they then had
six months off. They had acquired wealth. The thing is that at one time in your
life you will come into contact with wealth and the idea is to legally acquire
it and hold onto it and then use it for the betterment of mankind.
At the time of writing this magazine one should at least make an attempt to
get into a job and hold one down. This obviously is not easy because of the sins
of the fathers; but all the time one is trying GOD will be with us and bless us.
As said before in all of the time we have been in the "church" God has steadily
blessed us. We have all got reasonable health and money in the bank and other
assets. So it can be done. As the writer was in New Zealand some years ago and
talking to a lady friend about wealth, she had become well off and said in her
case the hardest part was acquiring the first $1000 she said after that it was
easier because one then can invest the $1000 and have a return. So we suggest
that one goes after the first £500 and keep the momentum up.
Duet 8:18, But thou shalt remember the lord thy God for it is HE that gives
thee power to get WEALTH. Exodus 19:6 All the earth is mine. Haggai 2:8 The
Silver is mine and the Gold in mine. God said to Solomon 11Chronicles 1:12 I
will give thee riches and wealth. Ecclesiastes 5:19---God hath given riches and
wealth---. Isaiah 48:17 I am the Lord thy God that teacheth thee to profit. As
said before in all of the time we have been in the "church" God has steadily
blessed us. We have all got reasonable health and money in the bank and other
assets and these are increasing.
If you want us to send you an anointing cloth that has been prayed over do
not hesitate to let us know. BUT BURN IT AFTER USE.
What's it (life) all about then? this is a question Jonathan Gabay
(Daily Telegraph 16 Aug 95) asked some top people hoping they would supply the
answers. One person it appears referred to God. The question really begs a
second question which is; Why were we born? To which the people of the Church of
God know that we were born to become sons and daughters of the Living GOD
(Gen1:26). Write for our free article WHY SEX? At the moment we are physical
sons of God; at the right moment we will be everlasting sons of God but-- from
now on-- in line with the theme of The Countdown Magazine--

Dear Gentlemen and Ladies:
This is the first time I write to your church, I know almost nothing about
you, but heard of your existence through a sermon a minister from the Worldwide
Church of God kept in which he talked about groups who have left The Worldwide
Church of God and gone andformed their own organizations.
Because I'm losing faith in The Worldwide Church of God - but at the same
time gaining faith in the Holy Bible every day- I'm burning to know about your
church and it's teaching. I'm not a baptized member of The Worldwide Church of
God and don't have any plans to be before all things have been proven to me.
So I was wondering in what way you are different from The Worldwide Church of
God?
Since the Worldwide Church of God have doctrines in which I disagree, I'm
very interested to know about your doctrines/teaching.
I have this feeling that some place, somewhere there must be somebody who
understands 100 percent- some little group people, living and understanding the
right values/teaching-therefore I'm on the quest to find and get contact with
these people.
It's been very difficult to get your address - the Worldwide Church of God
wouldn't help me- it took a year to get your address, so as your can understand
I 'm looking eagerly forward for your reply and to learn about your church and
it's teaching, and would therefore like to ask you- " is it possible to receive
some of your literature and a cassette tape with what you consider as the most
powerful sermons recently kept? And please, would your explain why you separated
yourself from the Worldwide Church of God?"

Dear Friend
Many thanks for your long letter it was pleasant to receive one that has
given a bit about your background rather than the usual one of, "please send
literature". We have placed you on our mailing list and you should receive
material shortly.
It is good that you are still reading the Bible, keep it up. If you haven't
already done it we suggest you read it through completely once, genealogies and
all then a second time ignoring the genealogies but take your time. This will
give your mind more confidence in GOD and what HE has actually put in the Good
book rather than what some leader tells you what he thinks is there. Our baptism
article will reach you in due course.
So how are we different? Well for a start under Mr Armstrong we
agreed/believed mostly with what was said. And as you will find out from our
early articles we were quite happy with the way things were as we saw it and
only a few questions remained unanswered. This was of course the problem; with a
"belief pattern" of which the Countdown on healing the September magazine is bit
about we had a belief, patterned after Mr Armstrong.
We had heard that things were not quite right at "HQ" specifically after the
new leader had taken over. We then heard of the Ambassador report. "Bought" 20
years backlog of them and checked in. We did in fact ask a local journalist to
do some investigatory journalism for us he did agree, and said that he had a
journalist in the Pasadena area but said it would cost MONEY. Our next move is
explained in the literature which if you don't understand we will explain later.
We first discovered that the name of the true church was not the World Wide
church of God and that Christ did not say you must `incorporate' my church the
CHURCH OF GOD into your new name to give it the right sound. We then discovered
that Mr A had got Passover wrong and a whole host of things then followed. Of
which you will read about shortly.
You say that the World Wide Church would not give you our address. We are not
surprised. None of the worldly churches wants to lose members or even potential
ones. You will discover WW has been losing members by the thousands now. People
have simply "cottoned on" Unfortunately most of them are going from one mind
controlled state to another.
We are in the process of producing powerful taped sermons but as you can
appreciate we don't want to waste peoples time on unnecessary waffle which we
have heard in the last few years but the material does take time to get together
and produce. As one reader has pointed out the Countdown at the moment is strong
enough meat at the moment.
So we have partly explained why we have left WW and you will learn much more.
Now we do strongly suggest that before you `leave' WW that you start to
socialise with some organisations outside the `church' like going to evening
classes, a local pub, or a local club. This will help you make the transition
better. Keep us informed of your moves. Finally get hold of Stephen Hassans,
"Combatting cult mind control" book. You will find that some of the conditions
of WW are met in the book. If you can't get one we will send you one.

We are repeating this letter because of the reply.
Dear Prime Minister 28 Jun 95
We hope this letter finds you well. Enclosed is correspondence which we have
sent to you before of which we thank you for the replies.
You will realise that since our last letter to you the power of the
"Conservative" Government has been somewhat reduced. It now has less power than
under Mrs Thatcher.
The reason is, that in the last year the British public has learned a lot
about the "Leaky Ship of Europe" and that they have been "Misled" by the
"untruths" of British MP's, read Christopher Booker, Sunday Telegraph June 25
1995.
The Great God of the Universe does not like the leaders of Britain (Ephraim
of the Old Testament) making alliances with Foreign Powers; as in the Maastricht
treaty. So he calls upon you today to make a choice. Turn to HIM and HE will
give you the power to turn Britain into the greatest prosperous nation on earth
subject only to HIM. Ignore HIM and He will cause Britain to go into HORRENDOUS
physical captivity for a short space of time. The decision is yours.

WE finally got a letter from the home office.
DEAR MR CAIN
Thank you for your letter of 17 February to the Prime Minister concerning
Britain's
membership of the European Union, which has been passed to this office for
reply.
I apologise for the long delay in sending you a reply.
The job of Ministers is to assess where the national interest lies and to
pursue it.
They look at the state of Europe in 1995 compared with any previous period.
#We have stability and prosperity in Western Europe far beyond anything our
forbears thought possible. That is thanks in part to the EU.
It is in the British interest that we should remain in the European Union and
help to make a success of it. The European Community was always more than a free
trade area .
Margaret Thatcher stressed the political as well as the economic arguments
for staying in Europe at the time of the 1975 referendum. It cannot be sensible
to let the Union unravel.
That does not mean that we should move power steadily to Brussels until there
is in affect a European superstate. The nation states are not going to wither
away. We are part of a Europe of nations working effectively together on the
things that we must tackle as Europeans, but clear that the great bulk of
decisions need to be taken within nations.
What does the EU mean in practise? Arguably the greatest single achievement
of the states of the European Union has been the single market, of huge benefit
to Britain. This is the culmination of the Economic Community, but allows far
greater benefits . Participation in the single market has helped to transform
Britain. The British motor industry, for example, was on its knees twenty years
ago, despite huge subsidies from the taxpayer.
In the last six years , however our car exports to EU countries have more
than doubled.
We produced more cars in 1994 than for twenty years. This would never have
happened without overseas investment; that investment would never had happened
if we had not been members of the EU. A single market needs rules, and machinery
to work the rules out and enforce them. So does the common commercial policy,
under which Europe negotiates as one on trade matters . For these common
purposes we need the Commission and the Court, with the Council of Ministers, as
representatives of nations, taking the decisions. Sometimes decisions are taken
by Majority voting. Without this , the single market would never get off the
ground.
Editors comment. So our foreign office is also subject to a form of
anaesthetized mind control.
