The European nightmare continues. The house of Commons spent five hours discussing Nolan and sleaze, as if this was the supreme issue of the time. But the reason MP's have lost respect is that they have become so irrelevant to the way the country is governed.
More that 90 percent of our legislation in never even discussed by parliament. We now have figures for the number of statutory instruments issued by the bureaucrats in recent years. In 1992, with the run-up to the `Single Market' the number of new regulations leaped to a record 3,359. In 1993 it was 3,279, last year 3,334 (creating incidentally, well over 100 new criminal offences).
Much of this originates from closed rooms and tacky little deals between official in Brussels-and then become the law of the land without MP's OR MEDIA EVEN NOTICING.
-----Everywhere, there is this insane tidal wave of new bureaucracy coming out of Brussels, made worse by Whitehall. People stumble about in a fog of confusion, wondering what will hit them next. Yet, so far as our media and politicians are concerned, none of it is happening.
Trade war revives Madness

Japans Kamikaze trade war with US. AMERICA is colossally in debt. JAPAN's Banks which are the biggest in the world are busily buying up US debt bonds to keep Americans from going under and to prevent the YEN from becoming too overvalued because Japan has bought into much American real estate. President Clinton is not aware of the situation but is pandering to the anti Japan vote in America to stay in power. It appears from the Sunday Telegraph that if the Bank of Japan Officials fail to turn up at a Treasury auction one week there would be panic in the financial markets.
It is hard to feel sorry for the Japanese. They have pursued aggressive materialism for 40 years, exploiting the American market with out giving foreigners a fair shot at their own market. Now the chickens have come home to roost. But natural justice is hardly the point. The Japanese-American relationship is one of "Mutually Assured Destruction"(MAD), to use an expression from the Cold War. If one side launches a missile, both sides go up in smoke.
sun (GOD) worship
Take heed.. that thou inquire not after their gods (pagan gods) saying: How
did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do like wise. Thou shalt not
do so unto the lord thy God:-- What thing soever I command you, observe to do
it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. Deut 12:30-32.
Weeping for Tammuz Ezekiel 8: 14 the concept being here that if one cries
because of the death of Nimrod's son (Tammuz) then one would receive some form
of blessing. Ezekiel 8:16 with their back toward the temple of the lord, and
their face toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east (
EAST-ER ?). 1 Kings 18:26 and they took the bullock which was given them, and
they dressed it, and called on the name of BAAL from morning (dawn rising of the
sun) until noon.
He shall break also the images (standing images or obelisks) of Bethshemesh,
that is in the land of Egypt; and the housed of the gods of the Egyptians shall
he burn with fire (Jer 43:12)
As a point of modern interest the Vatican obelisk is 83 feet high and is
still standing. Images (obelisks) SHALL NOT STAND UP but would be cast down (Is
27:9) converted people destroyed idols (Acts 19:24-27) because the Spirit of god
dwelleth in you (1 cor 3:16) not in a temple made with hands. Ashtart also means
the woman that made towers.
The Cross (idol worship and the mark of the beast)
During mass the priest makes the sign of the cross 16 times and bless the
altar with the cross sign 30 times. When a baby gets baptised the priest makes
the sign of the cross on the forehead. When the person is about to die the sign
of the cross is used. So in some religions the mark of the beast is with them
from the cradle to the grave. Some even have the cross hanging from around their
necks.
Suppose Jesus had been killed with a shotgun would this be any reason to have
a shotgun hanging from their necks or from the church roof; or taking it further
if he had been hung upside down in a cesspool would they go around with a bit of
excrement hanging from their necks.
Christ had to come under the power of the mark of the beast whilst on the
cross but only for a few hours until he died. Because he lived a perfect life
his father could raise him from the dead and so Christ triumphed over the mark
of the beast or as some put it--"the accursed tree" (Heb 12 :2)
The Cross is also used in one form or another in Occult6 religions
We also have the Mother and Child worship
Mother Mary and of course baby Jesus is worshipped as people look up to them
and gawk in wonderment at the idol form. In other countries it come out in;
Indrani and child, Devaki and Crishna, Isis and Horus. (They forsook the lord
and served Baal and Ashtaroth [Judges 2:13])
The Phoenicians have `The lady of the sea'. Mary is also known as the mother
of god, the Queen of heaven; The Great God is against the queen of heaven
worship (Jer 7:18-20) Isis was also known as the mother of god.
An attempt has been made in the Modern Babylon system to make Mary appear as
if she herself was conceived by some form of immaculate conception thereby
ensuring that she was free from original sin and hence a goddess and must be
worshipped more than her son. It comes from the statement from a woman in Luke
11:27,28 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the
company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare
thee, and the paps (breasts) which thou hast sucked. But he said Yea rather,
blessed are they that hear the work of God and keep it.
Christ went on to say that this was an evil generation. This is because they
were still involved in the Mystery religions. Mary worship is also encourage by
the simple expediency of decking idols of her with very expensive looking
jewellery. Whereas Mary was not rich Luke 2:24, Lev 12:8. There is only one
mediator between God and man( 1 Tim 2:5) and Mary herself said--And my spirit
hat rejoiced in God my SAVIOUR (Luke 1:47) Mary did not remain a virgin forever
as she had normal offspring. Christ had other brothers and sisters (Matt
13:55,56)

We have almost finished the Study in Revelation which we encourage all
readers to go through. It become fairly obvious that this is where Mr Armstrong
got his material from (for his booklet-The Book of Revelations unveiled at last)
and called it his own. The Rand work is nearly 400 pages long and so is quite
thorough, but as one reads the book the sensation of Uh Ahhh keeps coming up,
that is "I have read this somewhere before".
Now for all the people that have been influenced by Mr A we give the warning
that Mr A did in fact recognise something that he wished to keep quiet about and
will come as a shock to most people. We are also comparing Mystery of the Ages
with Rand's book.
This church name meant DESIRABLE but had something in it which is familiar to
WW. More about that later.
The church at Smyrna -64 to 313 A.D
This is the age of persecution and trial, and Rand is being VERY direct in
his statements.
The church at Pergamos- 313 to 529 A.D.
Meaning height or elevation. Christianity was free and became popular with
Constantine; but spiritually Babylon had moved to Pergamos.
The church at Thyatira -529 to 1529 A.D.
Meaning an acceptable offering, but tolerated pagan worship and hence some
were put into Great Tribulation.
The church at Sardis- 1529 to 1789 A.D.
Meaning a remnant; the church of the Dark Ages, where church people suffered
the martyrs death.
And now the shock that Mr Armstrong found out while reading Rand's book or
some of the earlier Rand work.
The church at Philadelphia 1789 to 1914 A.D.
Meaning brotherly love. Everyone is familiar with it. But oh dear the timing.
Mr A had found himself in the Laodicean ERA. Not a pleasant thought. How do we
Know this. Well first and foremost this period is the rise of the British empire
and its partial fall. And great Christian missionary zeal. It is also the time
of the "Little Book" why little book?. Well up until now the Bible was an
enormous book that was chained to the church wall so that nobody really
understood it, only that it was a GOOD BOOK.
With the advent of the printing press it became a much smaller book that
could be held in the hand; in fact a LITTLE BOOK that could be taken home and
studied and OPENED. Allen and his associates understood the Key of David or The
Identity of Nations or who Israel really was. Once God had caused Britain to
expand around the world, this was the OPEN DOOR through which the little book
could be taken to True Israelites around the world with the warning message. And
no one could shut the door. This is the expansion of modern day Christianity
around the world. The Bible went everywhere and printed in untold millions.
Allen and the British Israelites also gave the Warning Message of the coming
disasters if Britain/Ephraim and others did not acknowledge there GOD.
The church at Laodicean -1914 to the end of the age.
We agree with Rand on this simply because Britain after having received the
warning message from the Little Book and the ministry from 1789-1914 and not
acknowledging her God, was simply being brought down in the 14-18 Great War. Mr
Armstrong must have recognised this but did not want to believe that HE was in
the Laodicean Era.
Did Christ call his church the Radio Church of God--no?, or the Worldwide
Church of God---no. It was simply the Church of God. Mr Armstrong went into the
Great Depression with NOTHING. He started his church it is known that on a walk
on the College grounds he bragged about what he had done. The materialistic
wealth he had amassed and apparently he was worth something like $200 million at
his death. --Rev 3:17 I am rich and increased with goods. God spewed him out of
his mouth. His successor is even worse. Rather than build on the good that Mr A
HAD acquired this was thrown out also. The baby was thrown out with the bath
water.
The AMBASSADOR REPORT, which we strongly recommend you support financially,
could not have been brought into existence if Mr A had a PURE MIND
The 14-18 Great War and the 39-45 War to end ALL wars and this Third world
war developing show that Society IS in the Laodicean ERA. There are obviously
some Philedelphians scattered around the world who are still looking for purity
of thought and still giving a warning message.

Pyramidology
The mystery of the Great Pyramid solved. The details can be checked out from
the book Study in Pyramidology by E. Raymond Capt from BIS at 8 Blades Court.
Basically; and the mathematical details are a bit mind blowing; God is the
brains behind it and it is was built as a reference point for all the maths of
the great universe to show that God is in charge all the time.
This is of great interest for bible students because it shows just what the
New HOLY City of New Jerusalem will be like. While in WORLDWIDE we all assumed
it would be a square cube which of course would look very ungainly on the earth.
However from the study into Pyramidology it can be shown that in fact it will be
a Gigantic Pyramid on earth that from the space will make the earth and the CITY
combined look an object of incredible beauty.
So what are the details? Well for a start Revelations 21:16 says that the
City LIETH foursquare. Which means that it's BASE is square, like a pyramid. Rev
21:17 says and read this carefully; And he measured the WALL thereof , and
hundred and forty and four CUBITS, according to the measure of a man, that is,
of an Angel.
There are two points here. One that God and Man and Angels are of the same
size FORM WISE (not power wise) but FORM size. Second, that the word used it NOT
cubic, like a Tate and Lyle sugar cube, or a Rubic CUBE but, cubit --one of the
measurements used in the construction of the Pyramid. The dictionary definition
of the CUBIT (Latin, CUBITUM the elbow) is about 20 inches from elbow to tip of
middle finger.
Next, the City LENGTH as well as BREADTH is twelve thousand furlongs. The
FURLONG is 1/8 th of a mile, so twelve thousand furlongs is 1,500 miles. Rev
21:16 last part, The length and the breadth and HEIGHT are equal. As the earths
diameter is 7927 miles at the equator which means its radius is 3963.5 miles.
Half of this give 1981.7 miles so the top of the pyramid will stand just under
1/4 the diameter of the earth above the earth. Some height.
The height of the walls is and hundred and forty and four CUBITS. 144 x 20
inches gives 2880 inches which is 240 FEET high. WOWEE.

Thank you very much for the well written and informative "Countdown" issue no
10 and for your letter.
I am a former member of the WCG (1984-1986) but have left them for I was
fearing to become dis fellowshipped because I had some "faith -problems". Now I
am in search again for the true church (and I think the WCG isn't that any more
(cause of the many changes). I read about you in the "Ambassador REPORT" ( a
friend recommended that publication to me. May I ask you to send me----list of
